Ameristar provides suppliers and vendors with automated, online registration process; aims to bring more minority- and women-owned businesses into the fold

Las Vegas-based Ameristar Casinos has launched a new automated supplier registration process via the company's corporate Web site, www.ameristar.com. The company is encouraging minority- and women-owned businesses at the local, regional and national level to register through the site, which aims to streamline bidding and contracting with vendors and service-providers.
The company said that in the future, it will utilize the Web site's supplier database to generate additional opportunities for suppliers and vendors. One of the goals is to increase its diversification of suppliers and vendors by providing a level playing field to bid through the automated process.
"Ameristar is committed to procuring goods and services from suppliers who can deliver the high-quality products that reflect our brand standards and provide the same level of outstanding service to us that we provide to our guests," said CEO and President John Boushy. "We constantly strive to provide the leading casino and entertainment facility in each of our markets. Our suppliers and service-providers play an integral role in helping us meet that goal."
Boushy said Ameristar actively partners "with women-owned and minority-owned businesses as providers of millions of dollars in goods and services each year. I'm optimistic that this new online registration process will allow us to create even more valuable partnerships with diverse vendors that share our company's commitment to quality and innovation."
Ameristar's procurement centers largely around the company's seven properties in Nevada, Iowa, Mississippi, Colorado and Missouri. To locate the supplier registration pages, visit http://www.ameristar.com and select About Ameristar > Suppliers. The supplier pages can also be accessed by way of the footer > Suppliers.
In order to register, suppliers need a federal tax ID number; a PDF version of a signed W-9 form; applicable business license, permit numbers and expiration dates; company insurance policies (including automobile, general and worker's compensation) numbers and expiration dates; and certification numbers and expiration dates for minority- or women-owned business status, if applicable.
