Pinnacle picks Synectics for new property
Synectics’ security and surveillance systems chosen for the new Lumiére Place Hotel & Casino in St. Louis based on scalability, integration capabilities
Pinnacle Entertainment, after evaluating four different DVR manufacturers and security and surveillance providers, is choosing Carpinteria, Calif.-based Synectics Systems Inc., for its new $495 million Lumiére Place Hotel & Casino in St. Louis.
Synectics will provide an integrated digital video surveillance solution for the property. Pinnacle said its choice of Synectics was based on picture quality, redundancy, user interface, integration flexibility and reputation. The Synectics solution controls and integrates with a Pelco matrix, as it records and monitors over 800 cameras and responds to alarms from a DSX access control system. In addition, integration with the resort’s Micros point of sale cash register system (POS) allows video of every transaction to be recalled by user-defined search criteria.
“The Synectics system is scalable and able to deal with a project the size and scope of the new St. Louis riverfront facility,” said Darrin Hoke, surveillance director for Pinnacle. “It has the ability to easily integrate with other systems via its open architecture and can monitor and record high-quality video from hundreds of cameras simultaneously. We are confident that Synectics’ capabilities for multiple site monitoring, automatic alarm management and advanced digital video transmission will greatly contribute to safe and successful gaming operations.”
Pinnacle said it wanted a flexible, ready system to oversee its new resort. The Lumiére Place Hotel & Casino includes a new 75,000-square-foot gaming facility featuring 2,000 slot machines and more than 40 table games as well as a five-star luxury hotel with 200 guestrooms and an adjoining luxury spa.
Synectics Systems is a wholly owned subsidiary of UK-based Quadnetics Group Plc. Synectics is an engineering, integration and manufacturing company with expertise in IT and networked systems, CCTV control, enterprise DVRs, and command control software applications. The company manufactures a complete line of analog matrix switches and enterprise-class digital video recorders.
