—Toshiba Surveillance & IP Video Products Group
Toshiba Surveillance & IP Video Products Group, a business unit of Toshiba America Information Systems, Inc., recently introduced a new line of LCD monitors leveraging high-resolution and high-brightness to create the most productive work experience for security and surveillance professionals.
Available with viewable 17-inch (P1730A) or 19-inch (P1930A) LCD panels, the new monitors boast up to 1280 x 1024 @ 60/75 Hz resolution, 700:1 contrast ratio, 5:4 aspect ratio, VESA 100 mounting, and 300 cd/m2 brightness. Toshiba security customers can expect dramatically brighter, crisper and clearer images with vivid colors and a more stable picture environment free of annoying flicker or static.
Measuring less than three inches deep, the new P1730A and P1930A address customer concerns about desk space by taking only a fraction of the space of typical CRT monitors, while eliminating additional wiring and resulting in a more productive workplace. These space-saving dimensions are ideal for cramped security offices and kiosks.
The new monitors also receive high marks for their simple “plug-and-play” connectivity with commercially available analog and IP cameras, DVRs and PCs. Two audio speakers and picture-in-picture (PIP) functionality are built-in for added convenience.

Brilliant Blue 5MM Flat Top L.E.D lighting
Brilliant Blue 5MM Flat Top L.E.D.’s can now be incorporated, utilized as accent lighting to attract slot patrons, within any location of the slot base. Frontier has designed an inexpensive alternative to expensive surface mount L.E.D.s now used in a few slot bases. The product operates using a modified 9-volt power adapter which powers up 16-L.E.Ds on a half-inch by 24-inch stick. The power adapter plugs into a standard outlet, and provides cost savings when compared to 12 and 24 volt L.E.D. lighting units.
The kit consists of two half-inch by 12-inch L.E.D. sticks with eight L.E.D.s per stick and a dual controller board one-inch wide by 6.25 inches in length (separate from L.E.D. sticks). A trimmer potentiometer on the DCB, allows the option for the L.E.D.s to stay lit or flash/flicker from slow to fast mode.
The kit also includes as standard, two-24-inch long 10-pin flat ribbon cables, which drive the L.E.Ds from the DCB to the L.E.D. sticks. The DCB has a power connector which mates with the 9-volt power adapter. Each dual or single controller boards are mounted on a base for easy installation into the interior of the slot base. A simple switch turns on the L.E.D.s. The product is easy to install and operate, saves energy and can be customized. L.E.D. lights have a burn life of 12 to 17 years and will operate effectively 24 hours a day.
