October 1, 2008
Chukchansi Gold Resort and
Casino recently completed an expansion of the California casino-resort that added an
11-story hotel-tower, spa and salon, indoor-outdoor pool and a
restaurant.
Located within minutes from Yosemite National Park,
the hotel tower offers 214 rooms and suites, according to a news release from
project architects Thalden Boyd Emery Architects.
“This
development is more than just a building; it represents to the Picayune
Rancheria the future of their children and their children’s children,” said
Barry Thalden, partner in Thalden Boyd Emery Architects.
Directly located under the hotel tower is a new
full-service European Spa and fitness center complete with an indoor/outdoor
year-round pool that features a swim-up pool side bar. A new five-level parking
garage provides 680 additional parking spaces. Designed exclusively to maximize
customer experience, a new Italian restaurant and lounge called “Nativo”
completes the variety of dining and lounge options, including seven restaurants
and five bars. The resort also offers a new, expanded gaming floor with 46
table games and 1,800 slot machines.
