MGM Mirage might sell two AC land plots
March 1, 2009
MGM
Mirage would consider selling two valuable pieces of land in Atlantic City if the offer was right, a
newspaper reported in early February.
The
Atlantic City Press report specifically names 14 acres of waterfront land next
to Trump Marina Hotel Casino and 72 acres across from the Borgata Hotel Casino
& Spa as parcels of land that the economic recession has made
obtainable.
MGM
spokesman Gordon Absher is quoted in the story as saying, “…given the economic
situation, were we to receive an offer, we would be obligated to consider it,
just like we did with Treasure Island."
In December, the Mirage sold the TI in Las Vegas to Phil Ruffin
for $775 million.
