A mix of casino and bingo suppliers gives Southern Gaming Summit a unique look and feel
It’s that time again.
The 18th annual Southern Gaming Summit and the 15th annual BingoWorld Conference and Expo are joining forces May 4-5 at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum & Convention Center in Biloxi. Presented by the Mississippi Casino Operators Association and Casino Journal, the two events form the largest North American commercial gaming trade show held outside of Las Vegas.
Long a popular, can’t-miss stop on the gaming trade show circuit, Southern Gaming Summit was given a new twist last year with the addition of Bingo World. The combined conference and trade show, as well as the ever popular networking events such as the annual Taste of the Casinos dinner, make Southern Gaming Summit one of the most substantial events in the global gaming industry as well as one of its most enjoyable. To learn more about the event, visit www.sgsummit.com.
The variety of products and services on the trade show floor is a primary feature of the event. What follows is a sample of what some of the exhibitors will be emphasizing at their booths.
Bing O’Lucky and Moon Shot are the latest versions of Video King’s QuickShot
games. Highly popular for their pace, themes and new animation, these Class II, credit-based games are played with 24 pre-called numbers and a scalable pay table that changes based on a player’s wagers. Playable on Video King’s Champion II, Tab e-tablets and fixed-base PowerTouch units, the player-option packed themes were designed with easier-to-follow layouts and larger cards. For added entertainment, each winning card has its own animated sequence, and each game has 15 different animated scenes. Customizable for military, tribal and charitable organizations, the games are ideal for stand-alone games or before, during and after bingo sessions.

showcases its next-generation game, Code Red
which features a 20-inch curved LCD display on Bally’s new Pro Series Curve cabinet. The game looks, feels, and plays like a traditional reel-spinning game, but is actually a video machine. The LCD display makes video reels virtually indistinguishable from mechanical reels. A U-Spin feature awards free games, progressive jackpots, or bonus credits. The game will debut Bally’s new Free Games play mechanic, which shows possible bonus awards above each reel during free games. These awards may be bonus credits, locked wild symbols, or a locked wild reel. When a Code Red symbol appears, players receive the bonus shown above that reel. A new, randomly selected award then replaces the one received. There is also a unique “Wildfire” stacked wilds play mechanic that awards up to three additional wild symbols.

Aruze Gaming’s Aztec Beauty
is a G-Series 25-line, five-reel video game that also includes a sixth multiplier reel. The multiplier reel multiplies winnings in the base and bonus games alike. The Lucky Pyramid feature is triggered when three, four, or five scattered feature symbols appear. Players then select a Lucky Pyramid offering four choices with a range of five free games with high multipliers to 20 free games with lower multipliers. A Mystery Reel choice is available as well, offering a random prize ranging from 2x to 500x the player’s bet. The Lucky Pyramid feature can be triggered again during the Mystery Reel. For an additional five credits per line, High Power offers a more attractive payout percentage. Two second reel spins, 50 percent faster win indications, and higher bet bonuses are all highlights of High Power play. If the Lucky Pyramid feature is triggered in High Power play, multipliers in free games and Mystery Reel are doubled and the Bet Bonus is won as a High Power Special.
