Each fall, the American Gaming Association’s Global Gaming Expo conference and trade show captures the attention of the casino industry across the United States and around the world. This year’s G2E, which will be held from October 3-6 at the Sands Expo & Convention Center in Las Vegas, should be no different, with its array of topical and informative sessions, networking-oriented entertainment events and immense trade show floor populated by a who’s who of the gaming product vendor community. (For more information on G2E, visit www.globalgamingexpo.com.)
Through the years, G2E has built a well-earned reputation as the primary showcase for new slot games. But the event also serves this function for the various products and services such as bonusing and management systems, peripherals, cabinets and a host of other items designed to make slot machine play more efficient, popular and profitable. Here’s our preview of some slot support products likely to generate significant buzz at next month’s G2E:
ALL FOR ONE
The Universal Game Adaptor from International Game Technology
(IGT) is an open standards-based video adaptor that enables any game manufacturer to certify and support the IGT Service Window sbX server-based experience functionality on slot machines. This device works with legacy, non-game-to-system (G2S) machines and systems, providing a cost effective way to offer casino-wide promotions, side games and loyalty programs. The UGA solution does not involve any unauthorized reconfiguration or rewiring of the original design of the machine. By ensuring the game manufacturer offers their own firmware and certification, casino customers benefit with a picture-in-picture video solution across their floors that is supportable by its original manufacturer.
The company will also showcase the latest iterations of its other systems products such IGT Advantage, IGT Casinolink and IGT Analytics at G2E.Booth number: 2241For more information, visit www.igt.com
