Business intelligence and CRM systems will be integrated with the Konami Casino Management System
Las Vegas-based Konami Gaming became the third slot and casino system manufacturer in as many years to add an established business intelligence system to its product mix. In January, Konami announced it had acquired the Las Vegas-based Mindset Business Intelligence (BI) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) suite of products.
Konami will integrate the Mindset suite with its Konami Casino Management System (KCMS), giving operators more insight, greater efficiency and faster results with analysis of casino floor performance.
“Having previously created several iterations of business intelligence and CRM solutions within the industry, our latest product suite focuses on Web-based technologies that are powerful, yet highly intuitive. Our simple interfaces offer a distinct approach, ensuring both product acceptance and usage,” said Jeffrey Cohn, former managing director of Mindset. “My team and I are extremely happy to be part of the growing Konami team. We look forward to continuing to develop imaginative solutions for casino operators.”
The Mindset suite enables operators to create ad-hoc analytical reporting with rapid results. The decision support application is designed specifically to provide on-demand, business critical information. The suite also allows operators to easily create marketing segments, trend performance over time and quickly export patron lists for additional statistical analysis or use with a third-party vendor.
“We see the acquisition of Mindset and the integration of its business intelligence and CRM suite into the Konami Casino Management System as a valuable enhancement to our technological portfolio and product road map,” said Steve Sutherland, executive vice president and chief operating officer of Konami. “By providing our customer base with advanced and practical applications to gain greater awareness and insight into their business, we are empowering them with the knowledge they need to make better decisions.”
Konami’s acquisition follows similar moves by International Game Technology, which acquired the Mariposa Software suite of business intelligence and CRM products in 2006, and Bally Technologies, which acquired Compudigm’s GamingPOWER suite last year.
