CASINO ARIZONA BECOMES FIRST ARIZONA CASINO TO OFFER LINKED JACKPOT TABLE GAME
October 16, 2009
Casino Arizona, a venture of the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community, has become the first in the state to offer Push Your Luck, a blackjack game linking the prize pools at both Casino Arizona properties.
The game uses decks and chips already in play in the blackjack game while connecting Casino Arizona’s five tables using an electronic interface.
“Casino Arizona is constantly looking for opportunities to invigorate its gaming floors.” said Dan Louis, director of blackjack for Casino Arizona. “Push Your Luck is truly an innovative and technologically advanced game and the direction we see table games heading in the future."
Push Your Luck went live at both casinos earlier in the month, and has already paid significant jackpots. Patricia Padmore-Niemla won more than $5,000 on Oct. 2 when she matched the dealer on three cards. Casino Arizona has five tables of Push Your Luck in total, with two table at Casino Arizona at Talking Stick and three tables at Casino Arizona at Salt River.
To win the prize pool, players must “push” with the dealer on three or more cards. In other words, a player’s cards must perfectly match the dealer’s cards. Additional ways to win include matching between two to four suited cards with the dealer. Wagers for Push Your Luck range between $1 and $5.
“Guests are reacting positively to Push Your Luck. They are intrigued by its newness, but keep playing for the fun,” Louis said. “Besides the payouts are so great, it’s worth ‘pushing your luck.’”
