Cantor Gaming’s state-of-the-art mobile gaming technology will be a key feature of the new, transformed Tropicana Las Vegas. Cantor Gaming, an affiliate of global financial services firm Cantor Fitzgerald, has entered into a partnership with Tropicana Las Vegas to operate the casino’s new race and sports book. The state-of-the-art race and sports book is anticipated to open in fall 2010.
Cantor Gaming is revolutionizing the way people wager in Las Vegas. At the heart of the unique gaming technology is Cantor Fitzgerald’s 65-year track record of financial transactional expertise and state-of-the-art technological innovation. The technology pioneers new markets and provides unparalleled trading capabilities and services.
As the operator of the brand new Tropicana Race and Sports Book, with an entrance directly on Tropicana Avenue, Cantor Gaming is bringing mobile gaming and high-tech ‘sports trading’ to one of the original Las Vegas Strip hotels.
Cantor Gaming’s eDeck enables Tropicana’s guests to play a wide selection of casino games, including games developed exclusively by Cantor Gaming such as XtraOdds™ Blackjack and XtraOdds Baccarat.
In addition to the sports book, Cantor Gaming’s In-Running Wagering system, provided on Cantor’s mobile gaming device, eDeck, will be offered throughout Tropicana Las Vegas, including the bars, lounges, restaurants and new beach club. Cantor’s trading technology processes transactions in milliseconds, enabling people to place their wagers directly from their seats in the new Tropicana sports book at any time during a sporting event.
“Tropicana Las Vegas is a fantastic property with a singular history and we are delighted to be a part of its dramatic transformation as it adds new spark and excitement to The Strip," said Lee Amaitis, president and CEO of Cantor Gaming. "Our technology has forever changed the playing field in Las Vegas. Our mobile gaming gives customers a new freedom and flexibility to game whenever and wherever they like. This simply wasn’t possible before. We’ve also created the ability to wager on sports in a real-time trading environment, which is a transformative event in the casino marketplace. The vision for the transformed Tropicana reflects our own mission: to launch a brand new era in Las Vegas.”
Alex Yemenidjian, chairman and CEO of Tropicana Las Vegas, said Cantor Gaming’s history of innovation and expertise with breakthrough gaming technology makes it an exceptional partner as the Tropicana undertakes its $165 million transformation. "At the new Tropicana, we are planning to use various new technological advancements designed to enhance the guest experience. Because of this, mobile gaming fits perfectly into our strategy. We are excited to bring this new, mobile gaming experience to our guests.”
Construction of the new, state-of-the-art race and sports book at Tropicana Las Vegas, including installation of mobile gaming, will begin upon securing appropriate regulatory approvals, and is expected to open in the fall of 2010.
