WMS Gaming announced that for the first time, the company will directly
address central determinant-based gaming markets, including electronic bingo,
Class II and other central determination lottery-based markets with a range of
new products based upon the company’s extensive library of player-appealing
games. WMS is debuting its new direct central determinant market focus at the
National Indian Gaming Association’s 2009 Tradeshow and Convention (April
13-16 at the Phoenix Convention Center, Phoenix,
Arizona) where it will showcase Bluebird gaming machines
featuring WMS’ popular G+ games operating on the Bluberi system.
WMS’ direct
entry into central determinant gaming markets will benefit from a licensing
agreement for back-end systems technology from Bluberi Gaming Technologies, a Quebec,
Canada-based technology firm with eight years of experience in
central determinant-based systems. WMS’ first central determinant gaming
products will be available in July 2009.
“WMS’ ongoing,
long-term success reflects our strength in combining proven player-appealing
game content with advanced technology platforms to create differentiated
products that deliver unparalleled entertainment experiences for consumers and
high-return solutions for our customers. Targeting central determinant markets
– estimated to account for more than 100,000 units in authorized jurisdictions
worldwide – with a deep range of high-appeal products available for the first
time directly from WMS is a logical extension of our core market offerings that
creates another growth avenue for us,” said Brian R. Gamache, chairman and CEO
of WMS. “Our collaborative alignment with the innovative Bluberi team allows us
to quickly leverage our proven content to effectively meet customers’ demands
for new and exciting products through this new distribution channel.”
“Beginning this
summer, operators in central determinant markets will be able to benefit from
the direct interfacing with WMS to get our ‘must have’ products that have been
developed through the company’s culture of innovation and strong focus on
player research,” Gamache continued. “Our initial product launch will be to
casino operators in select North American jurisdictions such as the State
of Washington and Mexico.
Our initial product offerings will also form the foundation for potential
expansion in new emerging gaming markets utilizing central determinant-based
technology around the world, as has happened in Mexico.
In the future we expect to offer game titles from the full range of WMS' proven
G+, Classic, Innovation, Bonus Bank series of games, as well
from our latest innovative products such as I-Play games.”
Gamache added, “The robust back-end systems’ technology developed by Bluberi
has the capabilities and flexibility to compliment our broad gaming content and
fully support our growth expectations in central determinant markets. Gérald Duhamel,
founder and CEO of Bluberi, is an extremely talented and innovative systems
expert who has developed an accomplished team of over 200 people with
experience operating central determinant systems in more than 75 casinos. We
plan to work collaboratively with Bluberi to expand our product line quarter by
quarter as we address the significant opportunities made available by our
direct entry into central determinant markets.”
At the National
Indian Gaming Association’s 2009 Tradeshow and Convention in Phoenix, WMS
will debut its central determinant platform at Booth #700. This new product
line will include performance-proven titles like Jewels of the Night, Roman
Dynasty, Thai Treasures and Samurai Master, and each theme
will be launched in English, as well as Spanish to effectively target the
Mexican market.
