IQinVision expands IQeye BASIC LINE with new camera series
July 2, 2009
IQinVision , a San Juan Capistrano, Calif.-based leader in high-performance megapixel network cameras, smart IP cameras, and network video recording systems, has released its IQeye 5 Series camera to complement the successful IQeye BASIC LINE of HD and megapixel cameras.
IQeye 5 Series cameras are available from HD 480p/VGA up to 2.0MP. In addition to low power consumption PoE, the new IQeye 5 Series cameras can also be powered directly using low voltage AC/DC.
“Our IQeye BASIC LINE has been very successful in cost-sensitive applications where our customers don’t need the full feature set of our IQeye PRO LINE products.” said Pete DeAngelis, president and chief executive officer. “Many of these installations were not PoE yet, so we developed the IQeye 5 Series to provide a different form factor with the option to power the camera directly.”
The IQeye 5 Series also has an analog out that can be used for focusing the camera—making installation simpler and more cost-effective. IQinVision is now taking orders for the IQeye 5 Series cameras, with volume shipments expected in mid-August.
IQinVision products have been deployed in casino, retail, transportation, government and many other vertical markets. For more information, visit www.iqeye.com.
