October 22, 2009
DEQ Systems Corp., a provider of table game bonusing, jackpot and loyalty solutions, has been granted its conditional approval for EZ Baccarat in New Jersey, the company announced.
The Trump Marina Hotel and Casino has installed 2 EZ Baccarat and 2 EZ Trak. During the conditional approval process, all New Jersey casinos can install and offer EZ Baccarat upon request to the New Jersey Casino Control Commission, and DEQ is permitted to charge clients for the use of its products.
“We are excited to be able to offer our guests EZ Baccarat, a viable alternative to traditional Baccarat,” said Don Browne, vice president of casino operations at Trump Marina Hotel and Casino. “We are confident that our customers will embrace the “no commission” feature as well the added attraction of the EZ Trak system. EZ Baccarat is a strategic initiative that will help us to maximize revenue potential in a competitive market.”
New Jersey is a key strategic market for EZ Baccarat, said Earle G. Hall, president and chief executive officer of DEQ. “There are approximately 150 baccarat tables in a concentrated geographical area. We are very excited about the potential of this market as it represents the same demographics as the southern California market where we have penetrated the vast majority of the casinos and achieved a penetration rate of more than 75 percent of the baccarat tables.”
EZ Baccarat is revolutionary method of accelerating the speed of baccarat by eliminating the commission. The winning hand bank commission is replaced by “barring” one specific winning bank hand and/or reducing the banked winning wagers. The EZ Baccarat method bars a three card total of seven and is trademarked as the Dragon 7. Players can also make a side wager as to the occurrence of the Dragon 7. This side wager pays 40 to 1 and creates an additional way for the player to win and a new revenue source for the casino. The EZ Baccarat methodology and the Dragon 7 bet were co-created by Robin Powell and TJ Tejeda of the Talisman Group in conjunction with DEQ.
