Wheel of Fortune Experience first to debut on new Center Stage Series platform
December 3, 2009
Wheel of Fortune Experience is the first game to debut on IGT’s new MegaJackpots Center Stage Series platform. The Center Stage Series, featuring big overhead screens, engages players in a new, stunning way while maximizing value to casino operators.
Two platforms are offered: MJ 103 and MJ 70. The MJ 103 provides a high-resolution 103-inch LCD screen flanked by two 40-inch portrait LCD screens and includes five player stations, creating an outstanding focal point on the slot floor. The MJ 70 offers a smaller footprint with a 70-inch, high-resolution LCD screen flanked by two 32-inch portrait LCD screens and includes four player stations. Side portrait LCDs on both the MJ 103 and MJ 70 display attracts, bonus messaging and MegaJackpots meters.
The player stations feature the Game King AVP G23 widescreen machine and include IGT’s new MEGAfx Surround Chairs with award-winning, high-performance sound that creates a rich, immersive game experience. As the inaugural game on The Center Stage Series, Wheel of Fortune Experience Slots provide high entertainment value. The Big Board Bonus is group play action at its best where players work together to solve puzzles similar to the Wheel of Fortune television game show. Two three-reel, single-pay-line base games, Safari 7s and Red White & Blue Slots, feature 3-D Multi-Layer Display technology that creates the look and feel of mechanical reels. The base games are designed for quarter and dollar denominations with achievable three-credit max bets. Operator selectable denominations are also available for jurisdictions with standalone games. Where available, Wheel of Fortune Experience will be linked to the Wheel of Fortune quarter or dollar wide area progressive systems.
IGT is creating a library of games specifically for the Center Stage platforms featuring the best themes, content and math. New games debut on the MJ 103, and after a few months can be transitioned to the MJ 70 as new games are released. The best part about the Center Stage Series: the games change but the platforms stay the same. That means minimal downtime on the slot floor since IGT is only installing the game firmware and not changing any physical parts on the machines or overhead screens. With the Center Stage Series, casino operators get flexibility and value in a package that will create player anticipation and excitement.
