GLI Celebrates 10 Years in Latin America
October 15, 2008
Gaming Laboratories International is celebrating 10 years
of serving the Latin American gaming market at this week’s SAGSE and MAGIA
tradeshows.
GLI will also be noting the
first anniversary of GLI South America, which is an partnership between GLI and
the Universidad Nacional de La Plata in Buenos
Aires.
Team members from each of
GLI’s North American offices will join team members from GLI South America to
speak with regulators, manufacturers and operators about GLI’s testing
abilities and long-term dedication to the market.
GLI Manager Latin
American/Spain Development, and Panama
native, Karen Sierra-Hughes said, “GLI has a long history in Latin
America, and we have been working directly with regulators for
more than 10 years. GLI’s participation in shows like SAGSE and MAGIA are
always excellent opportunities to meet with the region’s regulators and
manufacturers – both those whom we have
known and worked with for 10 years, and new regulators who have been referred
to GLI based on our strong reputation in Latin America.”
Since being accredited as
the first independent certification laboratory in Peru more than 10 years ago, GLI
has concentrated its efforts to serving clients in the region. GLI currently
works with regulators and government agencies in Argentina,
Chile, Mexico, Panama
and Peru.
GLI also services numerous countries in the Caribbean.
Gaming Laboratories
International operates nine fully accredited testing laboratories worldwide, in
addition to fully accredited inspection bodies in America,
Europe and Africa. GLI is the only independent
testing laboratory of its kind to hold both U.S. and International
accreditations for compliance with ISO 17025 and 17020 standards for technical
competence in testing and inspection services.
