Spotlight 29 Casino deploys Bally’s Business Intelligence Solutions
January 27, 2009

Bally Technologies announced that Spotlight 29 Casino in Coachella, Calif.
has implemented Bally’s Business Intelligence Solutions on a Teradata Database
from Teradata Corp.
The Spotlight 29 installation marks
Bally’s first deployment with the Teradata Database, which provides
the casino with a single database platform to support the Business Intelligence
Solutions’ visual analysis and profile tools along with numerous other property
database applications.
Bally’s Business Intelligence Solutions
on the Teradata Database connect Spotlight 29’s customer data with individual
game data from the casino’s 2,000 slot machines, providing slot and marketing
managers with deep insights into how casino patrons interact on the gaming
floor. This transforms massive volumes of transaction and customer data into
critical, real-time visual insights on gaming-floor performance, player and
game interaction, and player behavior, loyalty and value.
Spotlight 29 Casino looked at a number
of other solutions and chose Bally for its ability to optimize slot operations,
analyze and manage customer behavior, develop uniquely targeted marketing
campaigns, and provide new insight into business profitability. The
combination of the Bally analytics and the speed of the Teradata database
provided the best solution for Spotlight 29 Casino, according to an official of
the gaming company.

“We are thrilled that Spotlight 29 Casino is pleased with Bally’s Business Intelligence Solutions and is already using its powerful features to identify player trends and develop more accurate, targeted marketing promotions,” said Bala Kuthyar, senior director of product development for Bally Business Intelligence Solutions. “This first implementation with Teradata demonstrates the flexibility of our Business Intelligence Solutions to extract key information for casino operators.”
“This very successful implementation with Bally Technologies highlights the strength of the Teradata platform and the speed of parallel processing,” said Dave Porter, director of hospitality and gaming, Teradata Corporation. “Our technology enables Bally’s Business Intelligence applications to provide both analysts and end-users with business-critical information in real time.”
