Quechan Casino Opens in Southern California

The grand opening of the Quechan Casino Resort, the largest
destination hotel in the Yuma/Imperial Valley region, will take place on February
13.
The
Quechan Casino Resort, a 297,000-square-foot Mediterranean-themed oasis,
features a state-of-the-art casino and gaming floor with 1,000 of the newest
slot machines; 24 table games, including blackjack, three-card poker, Pai Gow
and a poker room; a 166-room hotel with luxurious suites and an event center
with world-class entertainment and convention services. The new Quechan Casino
Resort is located just five miles west of Yuma,
Arizona on I-8 at exit 166.

extraordinary moment for us, the Quechan Tribal Nation and communities of Yuma and Imperial Valley,”
said Quechan Casino Resort’s Chief Executive Officer Marty Gross. “With the opening of Quechan Casino Resort, and our
employment of nearly 1,000 people, we establish ourselves as the most
significant and luxurious resort destination in the region, one of the major
employers in the Greater Yuma area and a key contributor to our community.”
The Quechan
Casino Resort hotel, now taking reservations, features eight suites that are
connected to the casino, and include a resort-style pool area with private
cabanas and a lazy river, and a health facility. The hotel also offers a
workout room, gift shop and retail outlets. The multi-use Pipa Event
Center contains concert
seating for approximately 2,400 or banquets up to 1,200 and may be configured
to accommodate a range of events both large and small, such as trade shows,
conventions, seminars, weddings, parties and reunions.
Quechan Casino Resort offers a
wide variety of eateries including the Ocotillo Café, an upscale buffet;
Ironwood Steakhouse which features an excellent assort of prime beef including
21-day dry-aged beef, a full bar with an extensive hand-selected list of fine wines;
Sidewinders Lounge with its snake-like bar serves specialty drinks and caters
to the concept of a shared experience via its sampler dishes; the Resort’s Food
Court which features gourmet pizzas, deli sandwiches and the Gila Blend Coffee
Shop.
“This is a
top-of-the-line operation,” Gross said. “Each amenity is geared toward
offering our customers the ultimate gaming, resort and hospitality
experience.” CEO Gross added that the Resort will work closely with area
Chambers of Commerce, Convention and Visitor Bureaus and economic development
districts as an important local and tourist destination and major contributor
to the economic well being of the region.
