Automated poker leader PokerTek announced the opening of an all-PokerPro room at Hoosier Park Racing and Casino in Anderson, Ind. just north of Indianapolis. The new poker room at Hoosier Park opened with four PokerPro tables on March 20.  

Meanwhile, the Press of Atlantic City reported that the Trump Plaza has removed Atlantic City’s only automated poker tables after just a few months of play. Trump Plaza introduced 14 PokerTek machines last June including a dozen tables with seating for as many as 10 players and two head-ups models, but the machines never generated the anticipated revenue. The goal was $1.8 million in annual revenue, but the best month was $45,000, according to the AC Press story citing Trump Plaza’s General Manager Jim Rigot.
