Seminole Casino Coconut
Creek in South Florida has earned a reputation
for its creative “outside the box” promotions including a free trip to outer space.
That tradition continued April 14-19 when it hosted a record-setting $5 million
traveling cash display, the largest amount of money ever publicly showcased in
a casino. During the six-day promotion, Seminole Player’s Club members will have
a chance to win $1 million simply by swiping their Wild Card at a designated
kiosk at the casino.
Plus,
to kick off the debut of the $5 million displayed on April 14 at 11 a.m.,
General Manager Steve Bonner tossed handfuls of “leftover” money from the
display into a money blowing booth for select guests to grab.
The
first-of-its-kind exhibit, which consisted of $100 bills encased in a
1,300-pound, custom-made $90,000 bullet-resistant Lexan showcase, is expected
to be announced soon as a Guinness World Record.

The display was manufactured in Las Vegas especially for the record-setting event; it is traveling nearly 1,000 miles within the state over the course of about 40 days, allowing as many visitors as possible to experience the once-in-a-lifetime sight of $5 million in cash.
Seminole Casino Coconut Creek is also putting its unique signature on the display’s debut on April 14 with a money giveaway promotion at 1, 2, 3, and 4 p.m. A computer will randomly select lucky slot players who’ll climb into a money blowing booth and walk away with as many $100 bills as they can catch.
