Seminole Hard Rock to expand Tampa casino

The Seminole Tribe of Florida is planning a 32,000-square-foot expansion of its Tampa facility according to documents filed with the state of Florida, Tampa Bay Online reports. The expansion would bring the total size of Seminole Hard Rock Tamp to 220,000-square-feet. The facility presently operates over 4,100 slot machines, 90 table games and a 50-table poker room.
Last November, the Seminole Tribe issued $367 million in bonds to fund various capital expenditures at its gaming facilities and for other improvements and additions to the properties. The Tampa expansion follows the completion last December of a $100 million expansion at Seminole’s Coconut Creek facility in Broward County.
Another expansion at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino here should place the According to TBO, The Seminoles notified the state of their plans in a two-paragraph letter in April that didn't reveal how many table games or slots it has in mind. As for the cost, Fitch Ratings noted at the time of the original bond issue that $75 million would go to add gaming space and parking in Tampa.
