Bally products find way into three casinos
September 27, 2012
Bally
Technologies, the Las Vegas-based supplier of slots, video machines, casino-management,
interactive solutions, and networked and server-based systems for the global
gaming industry, has announced a number of new product placements over the past
week; highlighted by the debut of its Virtual Racing NASCAR promotion at the
South Point Hotel, Casino & Spa on the Las Vegas Strip during the Global
Gaming Expo (G2E) Oct. 1-4.
Bally's
Elite Bonusing Suite Virtual Racing promotional tool has already been a huge
hit, creating floor-wide excitement on casino floors across America, driving
coin-in, carded play, new player's club signups, and tremendous excitement. Now—for
the first time—Virtual Racing will feature a NASCAR-themed car racing event
that lets players actually choose their favorite driver and cheer him across
the finish line.
Players
who select the winning driver will split a guaranteed prize pool of $20,000 in bonus
credits daily during the promotion. The NASCAR races will happen every Monday through
Thursday during the month of October at 3:30, 4:30, 7:30, and 8:30 p.m. The South
Point is giving away $380,000 during this first-of-its-kind floor-wide
promotion.
South
Point patrons who are members of The Club at South Point and earn 50 points on
their player's club cards within one hour of each race will be eligible to
participate in the virtual NASCAR races. The virtual-racing events are
available on all of the South Point's gaming machines—without interrupting game
play.
In
other company news, Bally unveiled the Apple and Android mobile applications and
new mobile website it created for Pennsylvania-based Mount Airy Casino Resort.
Anyone
can download the free apps, which are available in the Apple iTunes store and
in Google Play. The Mount Airy Casino Resort apps enable users to do things like
view benefits, rewards, and sign up instantly for the Player's Club, view and
book a room on-the go, view dining menus before leaving for the restaurant,
plan their evening ahead of time by checking out Mount Airy's nightlife events,
view exclusive promotions, get easy directions with GPS mapping, and catch up
on the latest social media buzz. The apps also include a mobile playfor- fun
version of Bally's Cash Spin video slot, as well as casino gaming information,
feedback surveys, and much more.
"The
new Mount Airy apps are terrific customer-service and marketing tools for our property,"
said Robert Phillips, CIO of Mount Airy Casino Resort. "They not only
deliver useful information, entertainment, and mobile functionality for our guests,
they also allow us a wealth of ways to more effectively promote our property
and what's happening here."
Finally,
Bally and ACEP Interactive, the iGaming arm of American Casino & Entertainment
Properties, LLC (ACEP), announced an agreement for Bally to provide its iGaming
platform to ACEP and its properties, Stratosphere Casino, Hotel & Tower,
Aquarius Resort and Casino, and the two Arizona Charlie's properties.
The
Nevada Gaming Commission approved ACEP Interactive as an interactive gaming
operator on Sept. 20, 2012.
Bally's
iGaming platform's open architecture enables operators to choose from best-in-class
content from a multitude of providers. Additionally, content is hosted,
limiting the infrastructure required. The iGaming platform is also designed for
mobile integration and is ready to accommodate online gaming beyond poker, such
as casino table games, video slots, and sports betting.
"We
are pleased to be involved in the leading edge of this emerging segment in the U.S.,"
said American Casino & Entertainment Properties' CEO Frank Riolo.
"This partnership with Bally will allow us to establish a play-for-free
poker site by the end of the year, which we plan to use to further enhance our
brands and enable us to be poised to launch a real money poker site at such a
time as permitted."
