Inspired
Gaming Group, a supplier of server-based gaming systems and virtual sports products,
has signed virtual sports license deals with six major Italian operators: SNAI,
Sisal, Eurobet, Intralot, Cogetech, and Lottomatica.
These
contracts with companies that constitute 90 percent of the Italian machine operator
marketplace will see Inspired’s virtual sports become a key product for leading
gaming providers in Italy.
“Virtual
sports are a very lucrative part of the product offer for operators,” said
Steve Rogers, managing director of Inspired’s Virtual Sports division. “Our
virtual products are in high demand from retail and online concessionaires in
Italy who understand the value in being able to offer a high frequency stream
of betting opportunities to their customers. Our years of experience have shown
our virtual sports provide incremental revenues for sports betting operators
across all channels. We supply our virtual sports to many of the world’s most successful
gaming companies and we’re delighted to announce SNAI, Sisal, Eurobet,
Intralot, Cogetech and Lottomatica as new customers.”
The
new legislation legalizing fixed-odds bets on simulated sporting events online
and in betting shops and corners in Italy was submitted by AAMS to the European
Commission last January and was ratified in April. Inspired is already one of
three leading suppliers to the relatively new VLT market in Italy, with contracts
for over 10,000 terminals with leading concessionaires.
Inspired provides its virtual sports products to over 20,000 venues
worldwide and is online with over half of the 25 top operators. Inspired has
led the global virtual sports market for over a decade by consistently
launching new sports and features. Currently seven sports (including horse
racing, football and tennis) and over 30 product variants are available for
retail, in-home broadcast, online, mobile and gaming terminals.
