Multimedia Gaming’s TournEvent product finds new home in Detroit casino

MotorCity Casino Hotel has incorporated Multimedia Gaming’s TournEvent slot tournament
solution into its mix of gaming options. It is the first Detroit-area gaming
property to offer the popular slot tournament format to its players, according
to MotorCity executives.
In addition to the excitement offered by traditional slot
tournaments, TournEvent provides
players a variety of fun new features, including live picture-in-picture video
of competitors, an automated emcee and bonus objectives like “popping balloons”
for additional points, according to company reports.
“We’re excited to be the only casino in this market to offer TournEvent,” said Phil Trofibio, vice
president of slot operations at MotorCity Casino. “As a market leader, we
relentlessly pursue ways to enhance the gaming experience by offering fun and
exciting games that resonate with patrons. Our first slot tournament was a huge
success, and we’re looking forward to the next ones.”
MotorCity Casino Hotel offers more than 2,900 slot machines, 59
table games, including blackjack, mini-baccarat, craps, and a variety of other
gaming options. The property also provides a smoke-free poker room, complete
with 12 tables, and a brand new smoke-free slots area.
