Dr. Peter-Alexander Wacker

Dr. Peter-Alexander Wacker has been elected chairman of the supervisory and advisory boards of Giesecke & Devrient, a leading developer of cash handling equipment and technologies headquartered in Munich, Germany. Wacker has been a member of the two boards since 2007. He succeeds Dr. Peter Mihatsch. After gaining a Ph.D. in business studies, Wacker began his career at BMW AG. He was part of the management team at Wacker-Chemie GmbH, serving as president and CEO of the executive board from 2001 to 2008. He has been chairman of the supervisory board of Wacker Chemie AG since 2008. Also appointed to G&D’s supervisory and advisory boards were Dr. Susanne Weiss and Professor Gunter Reinhart.
