FireKeepers Casino, opening this month in Battle Creek, Mich., has hired Michael McFarlen as executive chef of its five restaurants. Prior to joining FireKeepers he served as executive chef for Ameristar Resort Casino Spa in St. Charles, Mo. He is a former executive sous chef for The Cove-Atlantis and was executive chef for MGM Grand Casino in Detroit, the Detroit Yacht Club and Wyndgate Country Club in Rochester, Mich. He is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America.
