Valley View Casino in North San Diego County,
Calif., has appointed Mike Tansley vice president
of hotel operations for its boutique hotel scheduled to open in December.
Tansley is overseeing all planning and operations for the 108-room facility,
which began accepting reservations August 1. Tansley also oversees table games,
player development, bus transportation and the PBX department and will retain
those responsibilities. He has more than 25 years of experience in the
industry, starting in 1985 as a dealer and supervisor at Bally’s Park Place and
Caesars in Atlantic City. In 1993 he joined Players Casino in Illinois as a pit
manager and was later promoted to director of table games at Players Casino in
Lake Charles, La. He moved to Las Vegas in 2000, where he worked as table games
manager at New York-New York Hotel & Casino. He joined Valley View Casino
as director of table games in 2005.
