Curran, Las Vegas attorney for Royal
Oak, Mich.-based Howard & Howard Attorneys, was re-elected as chairman of
the State of Nevada’s Local Government Employee-Management Relations Board
(EMRB) for a fourth consecutive term. The EMRB is a statewide agency having
exclusive jurisdiction over NRS 288—Relations between Governments and Public
Employees, which governs collective bargaining between local government
employers and local government employees.
Curran concentrates
his practice on intellectual property. He has experience preparing and
prosecuting U.S. and foreign patent applications with a focus on mechanical,
electrical and computer technologies. He
prepares and files patent applications and performs patentability searches,
patent landscape analysis, freedom-to-operate, infringement analyses and
invalidity opinions.
Prior to practicing
law, Curran was a project manager for a global engineering and design firm. In
that position, he collaborated with engineering offices in the U.S., Europe,
and Asia, and managed the development of several design and construction projects.
