Brett
Ewing, AIA, has joined the international design firm
Cunningham Group Architecture as director of resort development Las Vegas.
With more than 25 years in the gaming, hospitality and
entertainment design industry, Ewing has worked as a principal-in-charge on
more than a dozen major hotel, resort, restaurant and casino construction and
expansion projects. He most recently
served as a partner with Thalden Boyd Emery Architects, and before that as
president of architecture and interior design for Marnell Corrao Associates in
Las Vegas.
Ewing is certified by the National Council of
Architectural Registration Board, licensed in four states, and is a member of
the American Institute of Architects. He is widely recognized for master
planning and concept designs for large-scale, mixed-use projects, and hands-on
management from concept sketch to occupancy. His experience includes several
significant projects in Las Vegas, including the $400 million, 925-room
hotel/spa tower, restaurant and convention center at The Bellagio along with
eight significant expansions at the Rio Hotel & Casino over a 10 year
period. He also led the design of the $450 million Lumiere Place in St. Louis
for Pinnacle Entertainment.
