FOOD-TRAK: SYSTEM CONCEPTS
October 1, 2009
System Concepts, the Scottsdale, Ariz.-based developer of the innovative FOOD-TRAK system, has released its newest mobile handheld scanner, the Motorola MC5590.
The MC5590 brings twice the memory, a faster processor and a more sensitive screen at a lower cost to SCI’s family of FOOD-TRAK Mobile Partners, or FMPs, as they’re called. These portable, wireless data collection units provide food and beverage outlets with an efficient and accurate method of taking inventories and performing a variety of transfer, requisition and receiving functions. They eliminate the need for forms and streamline data collection, increasing accuracy and saving significant amounts of time.
The MC5590 takes all this functionality to a new level. It is the smallest and lightest of FOOD-TRAK handhelds but performs a broad range of tasks. It is a bar-code scanner, a camera, a walkie-talkie and a rugged business-class computer all in one.
