MEI has introduced a number of enhancements to
the Cashflow SC that will define the next generation of a bill acceptor that
enjoys an industry-wide reputation for performance and reliability and boasts
more than 700,000 units shipped around the world.
Enhancements include:
an improved recognition system that uses transmissive sensors to see all the
way through notes in multiple wavelengths;
faster bill-to-bill speed, expanded memory, which will limit part numbers and submissions by allowing more notes to
be recognized in a specific release of firmware; comprehensive barcode
recognition; and a USB 2.0 interface, which will speed up communications
with the host machine and possibly expand functionality as well.
Because the enhancements are localized to the
acceptor head, the next-generation Cashflow can work hand-in-hand with its
legacy cousins already in the field, a capability provided by intelligent
support tools that will be able to sense the product version and provide the
appropriate software.
