Las
Vegas-based Bally Technologies Inc. announced that it has appointed
Dan Savage vice president of marketing. In his new
position, Savage will assume responsibility for the company’s global marketing
efforts as well as oversee the company’s product management operations. Savage
comes to Bally from the 3M Company corporate headquarters, where he most
recently managed a business unit and led Six Sigma operations within one of
3M’s larger divisions. Prior to that, Dan served as global business manager for
3M’s touch screen manufacturing division, 3M Touch Systems, which is a supplier
of touch screen displays to the gaming industry. Previously, Savage was the
director of marketing and sales for Dynapro Technologies, a Vancouver, British
Columbia-headquartered technology company which was acquired by 3M in 2000.

Las
Vegas-based Cannery Casino Resorts LLC recently announced several staff
changes.
Rachel Dickey assumed the position
of corporate director of database operations for Cannery Casino & Hotel
Eastside Cannery Casino & Hotel and Rampart Casino company. Prior to
joining the company in 2007, Dickey served as a direct marketing manager for
American Casino & Entertainment Properties, LLC. Before that, Dickey served
as database marketing manager for Fantasy Springs Casino in Palm Springs and as the database marketing coordinator at
Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas.
The company also appointed
Cassandra Dysert
to marketing manager of Cannery Casino & Hotel, and
Steve Bacchetta assumed the position of executive
chef there as well. Dysert joined the company in 2004 as community marketing
coordinator and was promoted to community marketing manager in 2005. In her new
role as marketing manager, Dysert will oversee operations of the players club,
create, coordinate and implement casino promotions and handle many of the
donation requests for the property. Dysert will report directly to
Josh Killian, director of marketing, while
Bacchetta will report directly to company’s director of food and beverage,
Phil Barnett. Bacchetta joined Cannery Casino &
Hotel in 2006 as room chef for Vino’s Ristorante and Deli and was promoted to
assistant executive chef in 2007. Prior to joining Cannery Casino & Hotel,
Bacchetta served as chef de cuisine for Luxor Hotel and Casino. Before that, he
served as assistant executive chef for the Santa Fe Station and Palace Station
hotel-casino in Las Vegas.

GTECH Corporation, a
wholly-owned subsidiary of Lottomatica S.p.A., announced that
Fabio Celadon has been named senior vice president
of strategic planning. Reporting to GTECH president and chief executive officer
Jaymin B. Patel, Celadon will lead a new
strategic planning organization that will take over the corporate development and
strategic planning function for GTECH. Celadon will be responsible for four
primary areas: strategic planning; mergers and acquisitions; asset optimization; and business evaluation.

JCM Global recently announced
that it has named gaming industry veteran
Gregory
Timm to its sales force. Timm will represent JCM’s line of gaming
products to clients in the company’s Arizona, New Mexico and Las
Vegas territories. Timm has a
long history of sales and service in the gaming industry. He was most recently
senior account executive with Spielo, where he introduced the company into the
Class III gaming machine markets in California and New
Mexico.
He has also served as the company’s western region sales manager for Sigma Game
Inc., and as general sales manager for IGT.
NAVAJO NATION GAMING ENTERPRISE

The
Navajo Nation Gaming Enterprise recently hired
Raymond
Etcitty, who served as the Navajo Nation’s chief legislative counsel.
Etcitty will serve as the Gaming Enterprise’s general counsel in charge of all
legal matters related to leasing, personnel, insurance and other contractual
obligations of the enterprise. Considered one of the top attorneys in the
field, Etcitty is well-known for his expertise in Indian gaming law, tribal
law, tax and revenue regulations, economic development regulatory issues and Navajo
government. Etcitty served as the Nation’s chief legislative counsel from April
2003 until March this year. Previously, he managed the Office of the Navajo Tax
Commission where he administered the Navajo Nation’s seven taxes and negotiated
several state/tribal tax credits and intergovernmental tax agreements with the
surrounding states.

security systems, has announced the appointment of
Jason
Oakley to the position of chief
executive officer. Oakley, an industry veteran with extensive experience in the
security business, will work closely with Cynthia Freschi, president of NAV, to
help further cultivate new business activities.
