Bally Technologies signs iGaming

Bally Technologies has signed a deal to provide its iGaming platform to Mohegan Sun’s casinos in Uncasville, Conn. and Wilkes-Barre, Pa., adding to the growing portfolio of online gaming sites the company develops for casino operators.

The agreement will enable Mohegan Sun to offer play-for-free online poker in Connecticut and Pennsylvania in preparation for online wagering regulation. Mohegan Sun selected Bally Interactive following a six-month review process.

“We’re thrilled to continue our successful partnership with Bally Technologies,” said Mitchell Etess, CEO for the Mohegan Tribal Gaming Authority. “Our goal is always to provide our guests with the best gaming and entertainment offerings, and we believe iGaming is the next step in fulfilling the demand for regulated online play when customers aren’t able to be on property. Further, we believe this exciting new offering will entice new players to visit our properties and experience all that we have to offer.”

Bally’s iGaming platform offers casino operators a number of benefits. The platform’s open architecture enables operators to choose from best-in-class content from a multitude of providers. Additionally, content is hosted, limiting the infrastructure required. The iGaming platform is also designed for mobile integration and is ready to accommodate online gaming beyond poker, such as casino table games, video slots, sports betting, and social games.

Earlier this year, Bally Technologies became the first company licensed in the United States as an interactive gaming system manufacturer and service provider.

“We are proud of our long-term strategic partnership with Mohegan Sun,” said Bally Technologies’ CEO Richard Haddrill. “This partnership will demonstrate the advantages of having an open iGaming platform, which allows for best-in-class content.”

Seven Clans casinos opt for Konami's KCMS product

Red Lake Gaming Enterprises, the operators of the Seven Clans casinos in northern Minnesota, have installed the Konami Casino Management System (KCMS) in all three of their gaming and entertainment properties, located in Red Lake, Warroad, and Thief River Falls.

“The three Seven Clans casino properties combined currently offer more than 1,450 of the latest slot machines, table games featuring blackjack and poker, a range of dining options, and more than 230 hotel rooms,” said Clark Warren, director of systems sales and marketing at Konami Gaming. “By closely linking all three properties with our KCMS system, we will enable the Seven Clans operations team to understand more about the behavior of their customers across all three properties and we will provide new marketing and bonusing tools to help ensure that their customers are recognizing the value Seven Clans is offering.”

KCMS is a casino management system best known for its innovative marketing capabilities, bonusing toolkit, ease of upgrades, and commitment to customer service. Konami’s proprietary technology, coupled with its dedicated support staff, ensure that casino operators can maintain focus on managing and analyzing their gaming operations, implementing innovative marketing campaigns, and driving their business forward.

“With KCMS, we are moving into the 21st century and this new system will create a competitive advantage for us in the U.S. and Canadian markets where our customers reside,” said Raymond J. Brenny, chief executive officer of Red Lake Gaming. “The scalability of this new system will also easily accommodate our brand new, state-of-the-art Seven Clans Warroad resort property which is scheduled to open in May of 2014 and will replace the existing Seven Clans Warroad casino.”
