Former cast members of The Sopranos were on hand to meet fans and sign autographs as part of the Seminole Casino Coconut Creek's "Wise Guy Weekend"

Seminole Casino Coconut Creek in Florida brought in a few “wise guys” as five former cast members of the hit HBO TV show The Sopranos were on hand to meet fans and sign autographs on March 29. The appearance was part of the casino’s “Wise Guy Weekend”, March 28-29.  

The stars appearing at Seminole Casino Coconut Creek include: Steve Schirripa (Bobby “Bakala” Baccalieri); Vincent Pastore (Sal “Big Pussy” Bonpensiero); Vincent Curatola (Johnny “Sack” Sacramoni); John “Cha Cha” Ciarcia (Albie Cianflone); and Frederico Casteluccio (Furio Giunta).    

The cast members’ appearance highlighted the conclusion of Seminole Casino Coconut Creek’s “Great Coco Escape” month featuring the finale of the casino’s popular “Break the Bank” promotion. On March 28, the promotion took place every hour from 1-5 p.m. Players Club Members earned entry into the promotion drawing by swiping their Player’s Club Card for a chance to select a bag of money from the “Bank of Seminole Casino Coconut Creek”. Players had a one-in-five chance of winning up to $50,000, according to Marketing Director Michael Michaud.  

The “Break the Bank” promotion uses an extravagant set as the casino created the “Bank of Seminole Casino Coconut Creek” for the promotion. Designed by Southern Studios in North Miami Beach, the “Bank of Seminole Casino Coconut Creek” features an eight foot hole in the exterior of the wall appearing as if “wise guys” blasted their way into the vault.  

“It’s turning into an overnight attraction,” General Manager Steve Bonner said of the dramatic sight complete with search lights and sirens. “Our casino bank’s vault is exposed to the outside and it’s seven-by five-foot door is imbedded in the ground. People are taking pictures at the “crime scene” Bonner quips.
