Williams & Williams to auction Central City buildings, land
The auction will include historic buildings and structures along Spring Street where low-stakes wagering operations are permitted, presenting an opportunity for redevelopment in an established, destination community.
The 6.8-acre assemblage to be auctioned has 49,176 square feet of property zoned for gaming with five historic buildings including the Miller & Koch building, the Seavey Building, the Hawley Warehouse often photographed by tourists for its iconic image and the Register Call building previously home to the community newspaper, the Register-Call, and the original freight depot for the Colorado & Southern Railway.
Additionally, a former jail consisting of a small stone building with concrete steps, wooden door, skylight and windows with jail bars and a residential one bedroom, one bath home with a detached one-car garage and storage shed building will be auctioned.
