The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (Pagcor) generated P3.05 billion in revenue, the highest such total for any month in Pagcor’s history, according to the organization (P1 = US$0.024).

The previous monthly revenue record was set in May, when Pagcor generated P3.03 billion in income. The June total was P334 million, or 12.5 percent, more than Pagcor generated during the same month in 2010.

For the first six months of 2011, Pagcor has totaled P17.22 billion in revenue, 10.8 percent more than the P15.54 billion the agency earned during the first six months of 2010.

Pagcor authorities credit better management, fiscal policies and improvements to casino facilities for the revenue increases.
