Aristocrat Technologies has released the first video slot, Don Quixote, in its new Remix game category, which showcases a unique new “Symbol Shuffle” feature where symbols or reels are rearranged randomly on the screen to award additional combinations and wins.
Don Quixote incorporates a number of exciting features of its own, like a new 40-credit forced-minimum game with 20 lines plus a 20-credit ante bet. In its “Symbol Shuffle” feature, three free shuffles are awarded when a player assembles any three “Windmill” symbols anywhere on the screen. In each shuffle all symbols are rearranged randomly, and then all wins are paid. For each Windmill that lands on the third reel, an additional shuffle is awarded. And Windmills substitute for all symbols.
Available on the new Viridian WS and Vii cabinets, Don Quixote provides players with high volatility and high feature frequency. Denominations range from 1 cent to $2.
The Viridian WS, powered by Aristocrat’s robust GEN7 platform, is fitted with high-resolution recessed 22-inch LCD monitors, a low-profile 13-button panel enhanced with programmable LCD technology, upgraded sound and a reduced belly area for improved leg room. The GEN7-powered Vii slant-top combines many of the same features with upgraded leather textures and softer edges, a footprint reduced by 4 inches for a sleeker profile, lower height for better sight lines across the casino floor and an improved LCD angle to reduce screen glare.
