Company to provide VOIP solutions for new casino in St. Louis
Beacon Enterprise Solutions Group, Inc, a global leader in the high-performance provision of advanced IT solutions, has announced it will provide VOIP solutions for a new casino in St. Louis, Mo.
The casino project will include a 90,000-square-foot casino, with more than 2,000 slot machines, several restaurants, and other amenities. Beacon will be providing the VOIP system design and phone system installation throughout the entire facility in two stages. The first stage will be the installation of the core PBX system by early August for the casino’s basic administration functions and employment center. The balance of the VOIP system will be installed in October.
“Design work for the VOIP system has already been completed and installation of the PBX system will begin in the latter half of July,” said Bruce Widener, chief executive officer of Beacon Solutions. “Casinos are highly complex operations where the dissemination of entertainment, logistical, and security information is absolutely critical. With so many functions dependent on a robust communication platform, we are proud Beacon was trusted as the sole voice vendor for this project.”
The new casino is located approximately ten miles south of downtown St. Louis in the community of Lemay. The $380 million multi-use complex will be modeled after the look of a Missouri riverboat town at the peak of the steamboat trade on the famed Mississippi River. The first phase of the project will include a 90,000-square-foot casino, with more than 2,000 slot machines and more than 50 table games, several restaurants, an entertainment venue and other amenities.
The new casino is scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2010, pending final approval from the Missouri Gaming Commission.
