Sports betting product allowing wagering throughout a live sporting event will be available at The Venetian, Palazzo and the M Resort Spa Casino
Cantor Gaming, an affiliate of the global financial services firm Cantor Fitzgerald, has announced that its popular “In-Running” sports betting product will be available at The Venetian, Palazzo and the M Resort Spa Casino in Las Vegas for the 2009 NFL season, beginning with Tennessee at Pittsburgh on September 10.
In-Running betting allows wagering on live sporting events throughout the event. In addition to NFL games, In-Running will be available for select NCAA football games this season.
“In-Running is particularly well suited for football because of the popularity of the game and the huge number of football fans interested in sports betting. With In-Running, customers can place bets during the game, so fans can have a stake in the action all the way through the event,” said Lee Amaitis, president and chief executive officer of Cantor Gaming.
Amaitis said the bets that will be offered through In-Running are:
Full Game Money Line
Full Game Point Line
Full Game Total, Over/Under
First Half Money Line
First Half Point Line
First Half Total Over/Under
Through Cantor Gaming’s In-Running, wagers also will be accepted on whether:
The current drive will yield a first down.
The current drive will result in a punt, field goal, touchdown, or an interception/fumble.
Twenty or more yards will be gained on the next play.
Any field goal attempt will be made or missed.
“In-Running is hugely successful at the M’s Race & Sports Book,” Amaitis noted. “We opened the action with the NCAA March Madness Basketball Tournament, continued throughout the NBA Playoffs, horse racing’s Triple Crown, and currently offer selected Major League Baseball games. The NFL season is immensely popular with sports betters and we’re excited to extend our product offerings to The Venetian and Palazzo.”
Robert Goldstein, president of both The Venetian and Palazzo Las Vegas, said the product will enhance the properties’ sports book offerings for players. “We are constantly looking for opportunities to add new and exciting amenities to our overall guest experience and this is the type of ‘only in Las Vegas’ concept that helps differentiate The Venetian and Palazzo from other properties on the Strip, and also demonstrates the true uniqueness of Las Vegas and why there is no city in America quite like it.”
In addition, M Resort Spa Casino has announced the addition of a unique new bet in its Race and Sports Book. Customers can now place a bet on whether they think the morning line favorite horse will come home first, or if they think any of the other horses in the field will win – a bet only available at the M Resort.
“We have been running this bet for a number of weeks during some of the major races at Saratoga and Del Mar and it has been very well received by our guests,” said Lou D’Amico, director of M’s Race and Sports Book. “Moving forward, we plan to offer the opportunity to bet the favorite versus the field at premier race tracks such as Santa Anita, Belmont and others.”
“With the help of Cantor Gaming, our Race and Sports Book continues to push the sports book business forward. Sports bettors can find unique wagering selections here that can’t be found anywhere else, like favorite vs. the field and in-running. We’ve received tremendous interest in our sports book from guests and we couldn’t be more pleased,” said Joseph A. Magliarditi, chief operating officer and executive vice president at M Resort.
