Ovations Food Services, a nationally-ranked specialist in hospitality management services, was awarded “Business Diversity Program of the Year” by the American Indian Chamber of Commerce of Arizona. Ovations, which operates at multiple Native American facilities throughout Arizona including Lone Butte Casino, Wild Horse Pass Hotel & Casino, Vee Quiva Casino and Salt River Fields at Talking Stick, was presented the award at the 5th Annual Holiday Business Awards Luncheon last November.
Ovations was recognized for their personalized mentorship program called the Native American Career and Development program (NACD). This program furthers education either in an employee’s current position or in establishing a career path within the food and beverage (F&B) industry.
“It is a real honor to be presented with this prestigious award,” said Michael Doocey, Ovations’ regional director of F&B at Wild Horse Pass Casino. “Ovations strives to provide a diverse working environment for its employees. We encourage all employees to reach personal goals as well as to set goals to advance within the company. Our Native American Career and Development program prepares them to do just that.”
