Court: IGT injunction request against LVGI did not show a "likelihood of success"
The court found that IGT had not shown a likelihood of success and raised serious questions as to its copyright or other infringement claims and, accordingly, refused IGT’s request for an injunction. “IGT has failed to meet its burden as to the merits of its copyright claims,” stated the ruling by the United States District Court, District of Nevada. “Accordingly, it is ordered that IGT’s motion for preliminary injunction is denied.”
Jon Berkley, president and CEO of LVGI said, “We are obviously pleased that the federal court has upheld our legal rights pertaining to our proprietary technology.”
