Patrick Bassney has been named general manager of the St. Regis Mohawk Tribe’s Akwesasne Mohawk Casino in Akwesasne in upstate New York. Bassney is a former vice president of hotel operations at Turning Stone Resort and Casino in Verona, N.Y., owned by the Oneida Indian Nation, and helped open that property. He also has held executive-level positions at casinos in Las Vegas, Reno, Nev., Lake Tahoe, Nev., and Atlantic City. He holds degrees in hospitality management from Paul Smith’s College in Lake Placid, N.Y., and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
