Aquarius Casino ResortAmerican Casino & Entertainment Properties (ACEP) named Paul Hobson general manager of the Aquarius Casino Resort in Laughlin, Nev.
Hobson brings nearly 20 years of hospitality and gaming experience to the position. He is responsible for all departments including casino operations, hotel operations and facilities, as well as food & beverage, security, casino marketing and player development functions. Hobson also oversees property budgets, strategic planning and capital projects. Hobson reports directly to Frank Riolo, chief executive officer of American Casino & Entertainment Properties.
“Paul Hobson is a proven leader with extensive experience in all facets of operating and improving dynamic gaming resort properties. He is tasked with the continued growth and strategic development of the Aquarius Casino Resort and its brand. Paul is a great addition to the Aquarius and ACEP team,” said Riolo.
Prior to the Aquarius Casino Resort, Hobson was most recently senior vice president of operations for Primm Valley Casino Resorts in Primm, Nev. Hobson was responsible for operational oversight of a complex of three fully appointed casino/resorts. He spearheaded the properties’ diversity program and was integral in improving guest satisfaction and loyalty.
Prior to Primm Valley Casino Resorts, Hobson served as manager of financial planning and analysis of Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, Nev. and Caesars Tahoe in Lake Tahoe, Nev. In this position he was responsible for evaluating effectiveness of marketing programs, tracking productivity, creating budgets and the recruitment, training and mentoring of the financial management team.
Hobson graduated from Arizona State University with a bachelor of science in finance.
