The Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe Indians has named Michael Garrow commissioner of corporate affairs. In this position Garrow will serve as chief executive officer and chairman of the board for the tribe’s Corporate Commission, which owns and operates all of its businesses, including Grand Casino Mille Lacs and Grand Casino Hinckley in Minnesota. A member of the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe, Garrow most recently was general manager of the Little River Casino Resort in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. He is a former chief executive officer of Nez Perce Tribal Enterprises in Idaho and a former general manager of the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe’s Mohawk Bingo Palace in New York. He has served as a senior brand operations analyst for Harrah’s Entertainment in Las Vegas and also served in Las Vegas as a vice president of Bank of America and a senior financial analyst with the Molasky Group of Companies. He holds a master’s degree in business administration from the University of California, Berkeley.
