Konami Gaming, Inc. announced this week that Casino MonteLago at Lake Las Vegas has chosen the Konami Casino Management System (KCMS) to manage its slot machine accounting, patron tracking, target marketing campaigns and analytical reporting.

The Casino MonteLago’s new operators, Las Vegas based Intrepid Gaming, opted to replace the casino’s previous management system with KCMS for its re-launch this Memorial Day Weekend. The Casino MonteLago will open initially with 283 slot machines and electronic table games, and has plans to possibly expand to 550 machines over time.

KCMS is a leading casino management system with an increasing number of installations spanning America, Canada, Australia as well as other international regions. KCMS is best known for its advanced capabilities, such as its real-time TCP/IP-based technology, multi-channel in-machine streaming video, powerful rules-based bonusing engine, true multigame, multi-denomination analytics at both the device and patron level, and documented high availability.

This latest contract marks the continued expansion of KCMS within the Las Vegas area. Steve Sutherland, executive vice president and chief operating officer for Konami, said: “The Casino MonteLago is the third casino in Nevada to have selected KCMS this year and, as such, we welcome the opportunity to have become their casino management system partner-of-choice.”

Jon Berkley, chief executive officer of Intrepid Gaming, added: “Our goal is to turn the reemerging Casino MonteLago into a highly successful locals casino by emphasizing the value of our customer loyalty programs and the relevance of our marketing campaigns. After thoroughly investigating all of our options, we strongly felt that the Konami Casino Management System (KCMS) had the most comprehensive and powerful marketing toolkit available today.”

Marcus Suan, chief operating officer and general manager of Intrepid Gaming, said , KCMS uses an advanced technological architecture that enables event-driven communication to and from the machine via TCP/IP. “Simply put, this allows KCMS to capture more granular levels of data, for both slot machine and player analysis, than any other system we researched. This made it the obvious choice for us.”
