Gaming properties in Delaware, Rhode Island and West Virginia have gone live with MegaHits, a multistate wide-area progressive (WAP) link provided by the Multi-State Lottery Corporation (MUSL) and International Game Technology (IGT).
The casino offering a chance to win this jackpot, which started at $100,000, include Dover Downs Harrington Raceway & Casino and Delaware Park in Delaware; Twin River Newport Grand in Rhode Island; and Mardi Gras Casino and Resort, Mountaineer Park, Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races, and Wheeling Island in West Virginia.
MegaHits Multi-Level Progressive is the first interstate WAP link between the lottery jurisdictions of Delaware, Rhode Island and West Virginia. The first two games released on the MegaHits MLP are Emerald Sevens and Triple Ruby Riches. Both feature a local, four-level progressive plus the WAP top award.
"We are thrilled to bring our WAP technology and experience to Delaware, Rhode Island and West Virginia," said Tim Shortall, IGT vice president of Eastern Region Sales, when the deal was first announced in June of this year. "IGT introduced the very first WAP link to the gaming industry in 1986, and players continue to love the big jackpot opportunities these games offer. Thanks to this agreement, players in these three great lottery jurisdictions will be able to experience our exciting WAP games for the first time."
