Des Plaines, Ill.-based Rivers Casino has selected the Konami Casino Management System (KCMS) from Las Vegas-based Konami Gaming to manage its slot machines, ticket-in/ticket-out (TITO), cashiering, cage, player tracking and loyalty rewards programs. The property, which officially opened earlier this week, features a 43,000-square-foot casino with 1,050 slots and 48 table games, and 30,000 square feet of first-class food and beverage venues.
The casino is affiliated with two other successful KCMS clients – the nearly 3,000-machine Rivers Casino in Pittsburgh and the 1,600-machine SugarHouse Casino in Philadelphia.
“Konami has been our partner now for the last three casinos that we have opened,” said Bill Keena, GM of the Rivers Casino. “We sincerely believe that our decision to purchase the Konami Casino Management System was the right one, and that it will provide us with tools to help our gaming operation become a success.”
According to company literature, KCMS is an industry-leading casino management system with an increasing number of installations spanning America, Canada, Australia as well as other international regions. KCMS is best known for its advanced capabilities, such as its real-time TCP/IP-based technology, multi-channel in-machine streaming video, powerful rules-based bonusing engine, true multigame, multi-denomination analytics at both the device and patron level, and documented high availability. These features all combine to allow operators to effectively manage and analyze their gaming operations, implement innovative marketing campaigns, and drive their business forward.
“We are excited to have been chosen as the casino management system partner for Chicagoland’s newest casino,” said Steve Sutherland, COO for Konami Gaming. “Not only has the Rivers Casino selected KCMS, but they will also open with over 120 new KONAMI slot machines, including a selection of our latest Podium, Advantage 5 and Advantage Revolution games.”
