OpenBet becomes member of World Lottery Association
OpenBet, a sportsbook and gaming software supplier, has announced it has been granted membership to the World Lottery Association (WLA), the global authority on lotteries and gaming. As a member of the association, OpenBet joins a number of other respected gaming organizations who work with the WLA to ensure standards of best practice are achieved across the industry.
OpenBet has long standing relationships with a number of government-backed organizations such as the Tote, Macau Slot in Asia, and more recently Pari Mutuel Urbain (PMU) following the deregulation of online gaming in France this year. OpenBet has also partnered with North American jurisdictions British Columbia Lottery Corporation and Loto-Québec as the primary software supplier and e-gaming provider, assisting in the integration of their existing lottery gaming software systems with the leading betting platform from OpenBet.
David Loveday, chief executive of OpenBet Ltd, said, “Becoming a member of this world leading organization marks an important step for OpenBet in our expansion as a global provider for the e-gaming and lottery sector. We look forward to working with other members of the WLA to achieve our mutual goals for the industry.”
Marcel Croux, senior vice president of corporate affairs of Loto-Québec, a WLA Level 4 certified member, added that “OpenBet’s membership in the WLA demonstrates that it is a partner in the global gaming community. Loto-Québec is satisfied with the expertise and level of support received from this e-gaming provider and software supplier. We are confident that our site launch and the games offered will be successful.”
OpenBet will attend the WLA Convention and Trade Show in Brisbane, Australia from Oct. 31 to Nov. 5.
