International Game Technology has expanded its San Francisco-based Interactive division and added new positions.
The company’s expanding Interactive division has moved to 405 Howard St., Suite 600, in San Francisco. IGT employs the largest interactive gaming team in the United States and is experiencing dramatic growth thanks to its position as the world’s leading supplier of casino games to regulated online and mobile markets. As a result of this growth, the San Francisco office has added 50 positions in the past year and plans to add an additional 75 in the near future.
The new Interactive division headquarters, located at the corner of First and Howard in the heart of SOMA, is home to 100 employees today with the ability to accommodate more than 250. The new 45,884 square-foot office triples IGT’s total office space in San Francisco, allowing IGT to consolidate employees from two different locations in San Francisco, while also allowing for additional growth.
“San Francisco has been home to IGT’s Interactive division for more than 10 years and this step reinforces our commitment to the city and the incredible talent pool in the Bay Area. As interactive gaming expands globally we anticipate continuous long-term growth here in San Francisco and in our other locations around the world”, said Gideon Bierer, executive vice president of Interactive for IGT. “With our ongoing investment in our people and products, IGT looks forward to serving our customers with an ever-expanding suite of products that continue to set the industry standards for quality and innovation.”
IGT Interactive was created in November 2010 when the company merged its online and mobile gaming groups, WagerWorks and Million-2-1, into a single division with more than 18 years combined experience in interactive gaming, serving the majority of the most successful operators in the interactive gaming market.
IGT Interactive is widely recognized as the premier provider of regulatory-compliant casino games content and platform solutions with an array of more than 100 highly popular and proven games including the top-performing wide area progressive MegaJackpots series. IGT Interactive’s mobile portfolio includes mobile slot, table, lottery and SMS games, mobile marketing, and platform products across all major mobile technologies including Apple and Android.
