vGLI University, the educational division of Gaming Laboratories International, LLC will present the “2011 European Regulators Roundtable” May 17-19 at the Radisson Blu Béke Hotel in Budapest.
The event is normally held in GLI Europe’s lab in Hillegom, The Netherlands, and was moved to Budapest to better accommodate regulators from different regions. “We have had tremendous success with our past Roundtables in Hillegom, and this year we chose to move to Budapest to make the event even more accessible to more regulators throughout Europe,” said GLI Europe Managing Director Phillip Barow.
The 2011 European Roundtable, titled “Find Your Seat, Find Your Future,” invites regulators from across Europe to find their future in two critically important areas: iGaming and land-based gaming. The event will be divided into two distinct days of programming.
The theme for May 18 is iGaming, and timely topics presented will include “Licensing and Regulation of iGaming Markets,” “Supplier Perspectives on Regulation in iGaming Markets,” “Internet Gaming Technology: Security, Payments, and Responsible Gaming” and “Certification Process: Methodologies of Testing and Certification.”
The discussion moves back to land on May 19 with several important topics focused on land-based gaming including “Greek Gaming Legislation – VLTs and iGaming,” “VLT Overview,” “Server Based Gaming: Introduction to Server Based Gaming,” and “Securing, Verifying and Managing Your Casino Floor.”
Scheduled to present at the event is a mix of the region’s most influential technology experts, iGaming and land-based regulators, leading suppliers and GLI staff.
GLI’s Roundtable is a one-of-a-kind event in the gaming industry, where regulators gather to learn about the latest technological developments and their potential regulatory impact, and to openly discuss regulations with one another in a private setting. The conference is presented free of charge to regulators, and registration is available now at www.gaminglabs.com
. Room reservations are available at a discounted rate at the Radisson Blu Béke and are available now at www.radissonblu.com/hotel-budapest or by calling +36 1 889 3900. Attendees should mention “GLI’s Regulators Roundtable” to secure the reduced rate.
The event is part of the company’s GLI University, an exclusive program that offers continuing education and vital training to regulators around the world, and each year, GLI produces Roundtable events around the globe. GLI University staged its North American Regulators Roundtable in March, drawing a record number of attendees from jurisdictions from Canada to Panama to the Caribbean and everywhere in between. GLI expects to announce plans for its Latin American Roundtable later this year.
