New operation uses Cantor's revolutionary In-Running technology
Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas and Cantor Gaming, an affiliate of the global financial services firm Cantor Fitzgerald L.P., announce the new operation of Cantor Race & Sports Book located at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.
Cantor Gaming has installed its revolutionary In-Running technology at the Race & Sports Book. Cantor’s In-Running wagering system allows customers to place bets on a wide variety of outcomes throughout sporting and other live events.
In addition to operating the Race & Sports Book, Cantor Gaming will install its eDeck mobile gaming system at Hard Rock before the end of 2010, pending regulatory approval. Once live, guests will be able to use eDeck to bet on sports, as well as to play innovative, proprietary casino games, developed exclusively by Cantor Gaming, such as XtraOdds Baccarat and XtraOdds Blackjack, throughout approved public areas of the property including select bars, restaurants and the pool.
“Hard Rock strives to continuously offer guests fine dining, exciting nightlife and exclusive spa and pool experiences, with full service casino amenities,” said Joseph A. Magliarditi, president and CEO of Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. “The launch of the Cantor Race & Sports Book adds a new dimension for our guests, further broadening the Hard Rock gaming experience.”
“Further, the launch of eDeck, which will offer both mobile sports wagering and a range of casino games, provides our guests with a convenient gaming experience in whatever atmosphere they feel comfortable,” added Magliarditi.
Lee Amaitis, president and CEO of Cantor Gaming, noted that “Mr. Magliarditi has been a strong champion of In-Running and mobile gaming since we first launched 18 months ago, and we’re delighted to be working with him to bring our state-of-the-art technology to the Hard Rock.
“Cantor Race & Sports Book customers at Hard Rock will be able to trade sports in the same way the financial markets trade – we are essentially creating a Wall Street in the desert. Instead of building algorithms on stocks and bonds, we’re creating algorithms on team and star player performances,” he said. “With the installation of eDeck mobile gaming, the Hard Rock will be able to offer substantial additional value to its customers through our cutting-edge technology. eDeck gives customers freedom, flexibility and choice combined with the sheer fun of wagering on sporting events as well casino games, including access to the newest proprietary games from Cantor Gaming.”
